Xiaomi is rumored to launch its 1st generation “flip” smartphone along with its traditional Mix fold series. These phones are likely to launch later this year. Today, a new Xiaomi phone with model number 2405CPX3DC passed 3C certification with 67W fast charging support, which is expected to be Xiaomi’s first vertical folding mobile phone MIX Flip as per a reliable Chinese tipster.
The Weibo post further quoted that this particular model doesn’t support satellite communication. But some previous reports claimed there would be a satellite communication variant too.
Furthermore, it is reported that MIX Flip will also adopt the mainstream dual-screen solution, but the secondary screen on the back is small, covering the upper half of the body except for the rear camera. It can be used to display notifications, weather, and other information without having to flip the cover to check every time.
Previous reports also revealed that the Xiaomi MIX Flip folding screen phone will use a Leica dual-camera imaging system placed above the secondary screen and is arranged in a horizontal row.
