Finally, the company has officially announced the launch date of the Reno12 series. According to the official announcement from OPPO, the 12th generation Reno series will be officially released at 16:00 on May 23 in China. The company sets “Silver” as the theme color. So, it would be interesting to see how it looks in silver shade.
Meanwhile, the company’s product manager Saisai has already made clear that the beginning of the Reno12 doesn’t only copy the existing flagship technology but must have its own shining points. Furthermore, It is reported that the Reno12 series will also support the Live Photo to solve the pain point of Android through a reliable tipster. All in all, the company is trying to integrate flagship-grade features with the launch of the new Reno12 series.
In terms of specifications, standard OPPO Reno12 is expected to launch with the newly-launched Dimensity 8250 processor, which uses TSMC’s 4nm process technology, while OPPO Reno12 Pro will launch the Dimensity 9200+ processor. In the meantime, another Chinese source revealed camera specs. Both Reno12 and Pro models are likely to use the 50MP primary cameras, while the F variant will have a 64MP primary shooter. In terms of battery, Reno12 Pro is expected to have a 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Regarding the launch, the company has officially confirmed its launch date of May 23 for the Chinese market. Later on, it can also move to other global markets. So, it would be interesting to see how the Reno12 series takes on the Flagship phones. The company seems pretty confident with its new Reno12 lineup.
