Earlier, it was speculated that the new Red Magic 9s Pro will arrive with an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Finally, the company has officially confirmed it. According to Red Magic’s official Weibo page, the Red Magic 9s Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Leading Version”. Also added the top clock speed to go as high as 3.4GHz, which is higher than the normally used 3.3GHz variant.
It is reported that the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 Leading Edition inherits Snapdragon 8 Gen3’s architecture. The CPU layout is still the same with a 1+5+2 combination, including 1 super core, 5 large cores, and 2 small cores. Only the super core has been increased rest of the cores remain the same. The company also confirmed that the Red Magic 9s Pro will have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 internal storage.
Apart from that, the Red Magic 9s Pro series is speculated to have two variants: Red Magic 9S Pro & Red Magic 9s Pro+. Specifications-wise, the company is likely to retain most of the features from the Red Magic 9 pro series, such as optics, battery, and under-display camera technology. The company has already set the launch event for the new Red Magic 9s Pro series, which will take place on July 3rd. This event solely focuses on AI gaming. So, a bunch of AI features are expected to be included for an enhanced gaming experience with its new series.
