Update: Red Magic 9s Pro’s real-life image has been shared by reliable tipster DCS confirming the same design with a glass back + metal frame body.
We are already aware that the new Nubia 9s Pro series will make its debut on July 3 in China. Most of the key specifications are already confirmed via multiple sources. Now, the company has published a new teaser revealing the full design of its upcoming gaming smartphone. Design-wise, there is nothing much changed between Nubia 9 Pro and 9s Pro, which was expected looking at the company’s track record.
As per the official teaser published by the company, the new smartphone replicates the Nubia 9 Pro’s design. The rear side is surrounded by a triple rear camera setup, which is expected to be the 50MP + 50MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup. There is a transparent edition, which gives the transparent look of the motherboard, giving it a unique identity. The same we have seen with the Red Magic 9 Pro.
The front side carries a flat display along with an under-display camera, providing it with a full display design. Overall, the complete design is borrowed from Red Magic 9 Pro. Only the internals are changed with more powerful hardware. It is understood that the Red Magic 9S Pro series has multiple color options: Black, Silver, and White.
Speaking of the specifications, the Red Magic 9s Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 leading edition, which clocks at 3.4GHz compared to 3.3GHz for the standard variant. Recently, this smartphone appeared on the popular benchmarking site Antutu breaking all the records of the current flagship smartphones. Subsequently, the listing confirms some of the specifications, such as the existence of 24GB LPDDR5X RAM + 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, 120Hz refresh rate, and Android 14 operating system.
The smartphone is likely to have the same 6.8-inch Full HD+ OLED display at 1116 x 2480p display & 120Hz refresh rate. It will pack a 6500 mAh battery combined with 165W fast charging support, and an upgraded AI portrait algorithm to improve the selfie experience.
Not only that, a bunch of AI features are expected to enhance the gaming as this series is all about gaming. The series is expected to bring two smartphones, namely Red Magic 9s Pro and Red Magic 9s Pro+. Currently, we don’t know what are the differences between these two devices. The final outlook will be confirmed after the official launch, which isn’t far away.
