IQOO recently launched the IQOO Z9 series smartphones, including IQOO Z9, Z9X, and Z9 Turbo. Today, these smartphones were up for sale in China for the first time. Subsequently, the company’s official Weibo account claimed that the IQOO Z9 Turbo alone sold more units in just 1 minute compared to the previous generation Z series’s full-day sales. Neither the company disclosed how many units it sold, nor revealed last generation Z series sales.
Speaking of its specifications, the IQOO Z9 Turbo comes with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip under the hood. The smartphone is packed with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display at 2800 x 1260p resolution. The smartphone supports a dual rear camera with a 50MP LYT-600 main sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. There is a 16MP selfie shooter for selfie lovers. Other specifications include a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, and IP64 certified body against water & dust resistance. It runs on the latest Android 14-based OriginOS 4.
Furthermore, it comes with multiple RAM & storage variants up to 16GB RAM and 512GB built-in storage. All the necessary connectivity options are present along with an in-display fingerprint sensor. As far as pricing is concerned, its base variant is available at as low as 1,999 CNY making it one of the most affordable phones having the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Overall, IQOO Z9 Turbo offers great value for the Chinese market. But we are unsure when it will make its global appearance.
